In April/May/June of last year 40% of asylum detainees leaving detention were released/returned to their communities.
Leaving detention April/May/June 2006: Of the 4,360 asylum detainees leaving detention in April/May/June 2006: 1,750 - 40.1% were released/returned to their communities
Yarl's Wood 36.33% of those leaving detention were released/returned to their communities
Dungavel 59.3%o of those leaving detention were released/returned to their communities
Tynsley House 21.9% of those leaving detention were released/returned to their communities

A total of 7,390 people left detention in Q2 April/May/June 2006, a fall of 1% from Q1 2006 (7,490). Of the 4,360 (59% of the total) asylum detainees leaving detention, 2,610 (60%) were removed from the UK, 1,465 (34%) were granted temporary admission/release and 280 (6%) were bailed. Asylum detainees who left detention in Q2 2006: 4,360 detainees who had claimed asylum at some stage
