The release of several prisoners of conscience in Burma today is a positive step, but time is running out for the government to keep its promise to release everyone imprisoned for peaceful activism by the year's end, Amnesty International says. Burma (known by the regime as Myanmar) recently announced the release of 69 political prisoners, including several prisoners of conscience. (Ekklesia)
