One of the UK's most famous locations has been ‘SOLD’! A giant white ‘Sold’ sign 40-metres wide on the side of Edinburgh’s iconic landmark Arthur’s Seat today highlighted Scottish calls for G8 leaders meeting in Northern Ireland in June to stop corporate land-grabs in poor countries. Land-grabs in Africa, Asia and Latin America are leading to poor families being evicted from their farms and unable to grow sufficient food to support themselves. This comes at a time when 1 in 8 people in the world go hungry every day. Full report on the SCIAF website. Watch a short video of the event here
