2018 marks one hundred years since the end of the First World War. We honour those who fought in the war, but those who took a brave stand against war and for peace - conscientious objectors - are seldom commemorated.
Written and performed by Michael Mears - ‘The Fringe-First Award winning master of the one-man show’ (The List) - THIS EVIL THING explores the courage it took to be a pacifist in the First World War, one hundred years ago.
This show was first performed at the Edinburgh fringe where it received 4 star reviews from audiences and press alike:
moving and dynamic retelling of a hidden story' (The List)
'An inspirational and disturbing work' - (Festmag)
‘Magnificent storytelling’ - Amnesty International
This performance is a fundraiser for the project to erect Edinburgh's first memorial to conscientious objectors and those who have opposed war. Michael Mears will give a questions and answer session after the performance.
