Easter Witness for Peace - Faslane 31 March

The Easter Witness for Peace will take place at the gates of the Faslane nuclear submarine base at 12 noon on Saturday 31 March, which is the day before Palm Sunday. This will be a safe and friendly event, for all ages and is especially designed for those who have not been to Faslane before.  The event is organised by Scottish Clergy Against Nuclear Arms (SCANA), Bishop Toal will be among the speakers

The format will be similar to the Easter Witness held at Faslane in Easter 2011, which around 200 people took part in. Full details here

Music will be led by members of the Wild Goose resource group
There will be short contributions from

Rt Rev Joseph Toal (Bishop of Argyll and the Isles, Roman Catholic Church),
Bruce Kent (Vice President of CND), Kathy Galloway (Head of Christian Aid Scotland),
Rev Peter Macdonald (leader of the Iona Community)
Rev David Mumford (Dean of Brechin Cathedral, Scottish Episcopal Church).
SCANA are also encouraginge people to support the online statement "We believe that the possession and threatened use of nuclear weapons is an offence
against God and humanity" which is at www.scana.org.uk
