			Various events are organised for this third annual 
Week of Action on drones to promote understanding and resistance to the growing use of drones and remote warfare. There will be a stall in central Glasgow on Saturday 5th October. And Edinburgh University drops drone firm investments
		
 
		
			The Drone Campaign Network is organising the third annual Week of Action on drones to promote understanding and resistance to the growing use of drones and remote warfare.  The Drones Week  of Action is also part of the International Keep Space for Peace Week. This year, as billions of pounds are forecast to be spent on drone technology over the coming decade  we are focusing on the economic and human cost of drone warfare.
Edinburgh University drops drone firm investments 
The University of Edinburgh is to divest £1.2m from Ultra Electronics, a company that makes components for weaponised drones, after legal charity Reprieve and student members of campaigning organisation People and Planet raised concerns over associated human rights abuses. Ultra openly admits that it makes key parts for Predator and Reaper drones - the robotic aircraft used by the CIA and US Special Forces to carry out illegal, covert strikes in countries such as Pakistan and Yemen. Event supporting Drones Week of Action  Saturday 5th October 
Catholic Worker Glasgow will have a stall in Sauchiehall Street  in Glasgow on Saturday morning 5th October where the will be handing out information on Drones in support of Drones Week of Action ( 5 – 12 Oct 2013). This is also to support the 'Waddington Six’ who face trial on Monday October 7th following a protest at RAF Waddington on 3 June. British drone strikes in Afghanistan more than 3,000 miles away are carried out from RAF Waddington. They are happy for anyone to join them.
