"Most people believe that every sane person wants peace, and some think that the opposite of peace, rather than being war, is actually violence. This can include how we deal with one another when we disagree, the way we treat refugees and other immigrants, domestic violence, poverty, unemployment and mental illness, the militarisation of our children in schools. Some of us think that we can fight for peace; some of us think we cannot and that a peaceful result may only be achieved by peaceful means.
In Forres, we are now looking for ways to work together to build peace in this special place which continues to have both strong military and deeply spiritual aspects existing side by side." (Constance Tonge)
We have decided to consult the experts, and who knows about war better than those who have fought?
